An Interview with Kare Kase
(Makers of iPhone Case That Give Back to Good Causes)
I’m JT Danckers, and we’re Kare Kase! We make unique iPhone cases that give back to our world.
What inspired the creation of your company, and when did it start?
We wanted to create an iPhone case that not only takes care of your phone, but also takes care of our world.
What is your brand’s mission, and what causes drive you and your team?
Creating a better, more giving world is what we aim for. We want to give people an alternative to the average consumer products that don’t give back.
How is your brand socially responsible?
Every purchase gives an essential item to someone in need.
What does your brand do to lower its ecological impact and/or promote environmental health and well-being?
We work local businesses to promote small business.
Does your company perform animal testing and/or use animal-based ingredients in your products? Why or why not?
We do not use any animal products whatsoever. We only work with cruelty-free materials.
Where does your company make/manufacture your products, and why?
We get all of our material from reputable sources in China; however, we do all our laser cutting and engraving in the USA.
Describe your design philosophy – how do you balance quality and affordability?
We make products that we personally would use and believe in. We are constantly looking to improve our products.
Tell us a little about the ingredients/materials you use. Generally, why did you pick them over other options?
Currently our cases our made from TPU military grade rubber, and an hard shell made from polycarbonate. These materials ensure your phone will be safe.
What are the next steps for your company?
We wish to widen our non profit partners to cause more impact in our world.
How do you view the future of conscious consumption?
Conscious consumption is the future of products. Our generation is becoming more and more aware and conscious of many issues. We believe that this upcoming generation will react positively and truly take part in bringing conscious consumption.
As a parting sentiment, if you could only use one word to describe your brand ethos – what would it be?
Caring
