An Interview with Foxbrim

My name is Troy Johnston, and I’m the Founder & CEO of Foxbrim.


What inspired the creation of your company, and when did it start?

I created Foxbrim to address a very real need that I experienced myself. I suffered with severe acne throughout much of my life and went through countless bouts of trial and error to find the right product or ingredient. When I realized that natural, not synthetic, ingredients was the answer my mission to help and share with others began. It started with sourcing certified organic ingredients in small batches and we now carry that philosophy into each product in our line to ensure our customers get the best, freshest products we can provide.

What is your brand’s mission, and what causes drive you and your team?

Our philosophy is to provide our customers with safe, effective products in each step of their natural beauty regimen. We back each and every one of our products with our amazing satisfaction guarantee so our customers enjoy their results absolutely worry-free.

How is your brand socially responsible?

At Foxbrim, we’re vegan, cruelty-free, eco-friendly, and proudly utilize sustainable materials and practices.

What does your brand do to lower its ecological impact and/or promote environmental health and well-being?

Each of our partners must meet our sustainable sourcing and practice requirements. We make every effort to utilize renewable energy at all facilities as well as utilize recyclable materials (shipping or otherwise) to mitigate our ecological impact.

Does your company perform animal testing and/or use animal-based ingredients in your products? Why or why not?

No. We will never allow for animal testing on our products and are passionate about this stance.

Where does your company make/manufacture your products, and why?

Our products are sourced in tandem with our select partners as subject matter experts in certified organic products, natural blends and best sourcing methods. We vet the best options available in the marketplace to ensure the efficacy, quality and overall freshness of our ingredients.

Describe your design philosophy – how do you balance quality and affordability?

Quality is our preeminent concern. We leverage our partners and relationships to source premium ingredients at competitive prices. We continually strive to provide as much value to our customers in the form of product quality and ultimate cost to our customers.

Tell us a little about the ingredients/materials you use. Generally, why did you pick them over other options?

A major part of our philosophy is proven ingredients in a simplistic ingredient profile. What that means from our customers is that they can always count on our products to provide the benefits they are looking for without ‘extra’ or mystery ingredients. We genuinely refine our products to ensure that each ingredient included is of the highest quality and essential to our customers desired results.

What are the next steps for your company?

We are excited to be genuinely global. With each new customer and new marketplace, we are seeing our positive impact grow and expand. Our vision is to be accessible to customers anywhere in the world.

How do you view the future of conscious consumption?

The future will demand quality products. Waste is a by-product of poor forethought and incomplete products and solutions. It’s our job as brands (and people) to do everything we can to ensure we are cognizant of our impact – both direct and indirect. When all (or the majority) of choices to a customer are well thought out you can hedge against waste and create an environment where everyone thrives.
