5 of The Coolest Animals on Earth + Videos with Analysis

YES, THESE BRILLIANT CREATURES ACTUALLY EXIST & ROAM THE EARTH WITH YOU

The male peacock spider. He’s colorful. He knows how to get down and boogie. He lets the lady choose. Also, you may not be able to tell how big or small this spider is, but you can fit around 10 of them on your thumb nail. Seriously.

The lyre bird. This bird can quite literally mimic any sound it hears. It can reproduce the sound of anything from a camera shutter, a nearby monkey to a power drill. Don’t believe us. Watch the video.

Meet the cuttlefish. Yes, we know it sounds cute – but the power to cuddle is not what makes this animal incredible. Interestingly enough, the cuttlefish was raised by a strobe light and disco ball. Totally joking, but you’ll see what we mean when you watch the video. The cuttlefish is called ‘the king of camouflage’. It can blend into just about any environment it interacts with, but can also produce a pretty mesmerizing light show. Again, yes, this is a real animal that nature created.

One part humming bird. One part moth. Its full name is the hummingbird hawk-moth. It’s a species of Sphingidae – meaning this animal is indexed in the moth family. Take a guess, does the moth-esque appearance come from the mom’s or dad’s side? Just kidding, that’s not how nature works.

Last, but certainly not least, is the Narwhal. This mythical beast is perhaps the closest thing to a nature-made unicorn you will ever see. The narwhal is a medium-sized toothed whale that inhabits the Arctic waters of Canada, Greenland, Norway and Russia. The reason it’s often called ‘the unicorn of the sea’ is because it possesses a large “tusk” from a protruding canine tooth. It may not sound it, but it certainly looks like a unicorn horn. Take a look.

Let’s Talk About It.
